January 2021’s BEST Fashion Trends
As the pandemic continues, there isn’t a lot to do. However, that just gives everyone more of a desire to dress up even when it just comes to going places like the supermarket or relaxing in your own home. There is definitely some gloom in our lives, but not the trends AT ALL. The January 2021 fashion trends are as eccentric and interesting as ever. Prints and colors are a must this month, even though we are in the dead of winter. 2021 is about starting new and being happy, so let your style reflect that. Make sure to follow these trends to look fashionable all month long.
1. Mesh Tops
These Jean Paul Gaultier inspired mesh tops are to die for. They are all so unique and come in so many prints. We recommend looking through Depop. However, they are so difficult to find. It took me a while of searching through Depop to find one I liked that was a reasonable price. Key words you can search are Jean Paul Gaultier, vintage mesh tops, and cop coupine. So many celebrities and influencers, like Kendall Jenner, Ruby Lyn, Ellie Zeiler, and Eden McCoy, are wearing them, so make sure to buy one asap.
Also, make sure to buy a cute bralette (or tank top) to wear under as many of these are very sheer. We recommend one like this.

2. Cool is a Construct
Okay, these prints are the coolest. These looks are a perfect combination of funky and trendy. The best part is that all of them are by the same brand, Cool is a Construct, so definitely follow this brand throughout 2021. The Don’t Play with Me collection is yet to be released, but the Totally Spaced collection you can shop at their website.
3. Baby Tees
As you scroll through your instagram feed, you can see every influencer and celebrity wearing a baby tee. Going back to the classics is always a good choice. Above are some of our favorite looks that sport the baby tee from Devon Lee Carlson, Bella Romic, and Sabrina Carpenter. However, if you’re on the east coast like us, wear a puffer jacket too to complete the look, mostly so you don’t freeze.

4. Velour Tracksuits
Spin-offs of the classic 2000’s Juicy Couture tracksuits are in and we are here for it. Earthy tones, like green and brown, make these tracksuits different and unique to 2021. You can wear tracksuits out or as lounge wear, making them a must have. I have already purchased the brown velour tracksuit from Jaded London, which I am in love with and I am currently wearing as I write this post. 5. Chunky Rings
These colorful, fun chunky rings are perfect to stack as accessories for any look. Mon Cher Moi and La Manso are definitely the leading brands for this trend. Alex Dolnik, Bella Hadid, and Emilia Muss (shown above) wear the rings with very colorful outfits which we LOVE, but you can easily wear these rings with any outfit.
6. Corsets
I have definitely seen people start wearing corsets more lately, but after the bingeworthy show Bridgerton premiered on Netflix, people have been OBSESSED with corsets. What we love most about these are that there are so many ways to wear these. You can wear them with jeans, a skirt, or an oversized leather blazer.

7. Colorful Sweaters
From pastels to stripes to graphics to argyle, these colorful and fun sweaters definitely trump boring sweaters. After all, look how cool Devon Lee Carlson, Emma Chamberlain, Courtney Mawhorr, and Abigail St John look!

8. Mini Uggs
People are wearing uggs? Is it 2010 again? Yes, but it’s okay we love it. Lately, celebrities have swapped their sneakers for these adorable mini uggs. We definitely prefer these to tall uggs. We are fans of the classic tan uggs, but they are available in various colors, like pink, which you might see Irina Shayk wearing on the streets of NYC. 9. Pearl Necklaces
These pearl necklaces are such a classic! Whether it is a simple string of pearls to pair with a fancy outfit, or a more hip version with a charm, these necklaces spice up any occasion. I recently got the “Simple Pearl Necklace” from Gemini Jewels and have been loving it! It is such a cute and fun addition to my everyday necklace collection. Also, the pearls from Vivienne Westwood like the Mini Bas Relief Choker are trending right now. However, a lot of sites sell fake ones, so just make sure you are buying a genuine one or at least not a too expensive fake.
10. Dr. Martens Boots
These bold and powerful boots are making a comeback, and we couldn't be happier about it! Whether your vibe is edgy and hip, or sweet and soft, Dr. Martens take any outfit to an entirely different level! Any season, any time, these fun and edgy boots make you feel as confident as ever! I have them in platform, fur lined, short, and classic. So, as you can tell, I wear them enough to buy them in various styles.
