100 Films

Choosing a good movie is essential to a fun friday night, but it can be difficult. When you’re spending 2 hours watching a movie, it’s important to choose a potential favorite, not one that drags on and on. When you are handed that remote the pressure is on to choose the perfect movie, one that fits the mood. To alleviate some of that pressure, we complied a list of our favorite films for different occasions available on multiple platforms and ready to watch.

With Friends

It’s nearly impossible to watch a calm movie with your friends. The excitement of the movie must match the energy of your friends, or else the movie idea fails and you just go back to talking. Therefore, trillers, horrors, comedies, or films with actors you can crush on are perfect for a movie night with friends.

A Quiet Night In

There are times you may not be in the mood to sob, but also aren’t in the mood for an exciting action movie. You may want to scroll through Instagram, text a friend, and make Pinterest boards while watching a movie. For this mood, movies with ‘no plot’ are perfect. Although all movies have some aspect of plot, some have less structure to the plot, focusing more on characters, aesthetics, costumes, and location. It makes it easy to follow along and enjoy the film without having to completely pay attention to it. But proceed with caution because that doesn’t mean they movies aren’t amazing enough to grab your complete attention.
